About Mindfulness Yin Yoga Intensive Worshop
Mindfulness Yin Yoga complements the Yang Yoga practice. Yang Yoga poses are more dynamic and mostly active, while in Yin Yoga, poses are held passively for several minutes, as it prepares the body to slowly adopt to positive "stress" on the deep layers of connective tissue in the body.
Physically, Yin Yoga restores and maintains the natural mobility of the joints - primarily areas between the navel and knees. Energetically, Yin Yoga opens the body's Meridian system in which it could enhance the body's energetic flow and support emotional equilibrium.
As the Yin Yoga practice emphasises calm, stillness, silent, and deep stretching in nature, it prepares both the body and mind for a deeper experiences in meditation.
